I personally prefer PhenomMSRTweaker (which, despite the name, works on any K10 processor) because it has a simpler interface, lets you see which P-state is currently active in real-time, and lets you quickly and easily change the Windows Power Scheme from balanced/power saver/performance ( power saver forces Pmax, performance forces P0, balanced automatically adjusts). Because my AMD Athlon II X4 620 4x2.6ghz CPU is a K10 cpu, I can overclock it using one of the many available K10 CnQ P-state editors. I discovered my BIOS had a feature called "AMD Cool 'n' Quiet", which enables an OS to change the P(erformance)-state of the processor, which in turn tells the BIOS to change the CPU clock. I thought i was out of luck to overclock my cpu, but then. There are also no overclocking options in the bios. I have a motherboard+bios provided by Dell (FRS780M), and there is absolutely no documentation or bios updates or anything for it.
